Style Diary :: Armani Exchange: Free Spirited Streetwear

Whether I feel like being a free-spirited urban street wanderer, a beach goer or simply wanting to cool down from the sweltering Australian summer heat, a free flowing, slithering Armani Exchange silk blend maxi dress would be my pick.

QT Sydney: ‘Gone to Gowings’ … for lunch and a facial

It’s the first week back at work in the city after a break in Tasmania and the contrast in the environment could not be more stark. I felt the tension creeping in my back, in my shoulders, my neck, my mind as I settle back in my office. Why are there so many impatient people in the city?

I like immersing myself in hotels even if it’s in my own city. I don’t see them as a place to go to only if I travel. I see them as a sanctuary where I can experience a little luxury in a space of an hour that I have, to eat lunch or have a spa treatment. The hotel environment away from the hustle bustle of cafes and restaurants out in the streets in the city during workday lunch feels like I’m away on holidays, albeit for a finite period of time. Hotel environments are always so polished in service and smiles and of course, air conditioning to bring relief to your skin on a hot Sydney Summer’s day.

In Tasmania, Hiking and Gourmet Cuisine in the Bay of Fires

“I just saw a snake, a deadly one in my path and survived”, I thought to myself as I sat in the van that took us from Mount Williams National Park where we concluded our 4 day Bay of Fires lodge walk to the Quamby Estate in Hagley, which is 30 minutes by car from Launceston, Tasmania.

The last time I spent some time living in the outdoors was in primary school and I can’t say I enjoyed it all that much, mainly because it was something we had to do; had to stick with a school structured itinery; too many people sharing the most basic of amenities. But the Bay of Fires Lodge walk is nothing like school camp. In a small group of 11, our walk was like a moving postcard.

Dressed in Kitten D'Amour Vintage Glamour

Kitten D’Amour outfits are versatile enough to bring out the ‘roar’ for that special event or a mellow ‘meow’ for everyday wear. I remember browsing through Australian fashion label, Kitten D’Amour’s store a few years back and thinking how much I loved their quirky vintage pieces as there are pieces there where you can dress them up for that special themed occasion or dress them down by mixing and matching so it suitable for everyday work wear. I’m so pleased there are stores in Sydney where I can try these pieces on as sometimes you don’t know whether a size 10 is a standard size 10 or a smaller version of a size 12 or a larger version of a size 8. Ladies, you know what I mean.

Blanc de Blanc & Summer Playground at Sydney Opera House

Non Je Ne Regrette Rien … No, I regret nothing. This is just some well-known French music you have heard before in commercials that will ring in your ears at the Blanc de Blanc performance now showing at the Sydney Opera House 07 January 2016– 28 February 2016. And what a spectacle!
